Newest Cause ‘Put A Smile On Your Feet’ Begins June 8th

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” These words were once spoken by the late Leo “Dr. Love” Buscagli, and their meaning continues to strike a harmonious chord within the cadence of THOR●LO, Inc.’s charitable causes.

Put a Smile On Your Feet

We are very excited to share our newest cause, “Put A Smile On Your Feet.” This donation program, kicking off June 8 in Georgia, will support the following Atlanta-area youth tennis non-profit organizations: USTA’s Atlanta Youth Tennis and Education Foundation, ALTA Foundation and the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. As an official sponsor of the BB&T Atlanta Open, Thorlos will participate in a number of tennis-based activities throughout the summer outfitting Atlantans by donating its padded socks, valued at $14.99 MSRP, in exchange for $5 donations to one of these charities whose shared mission is providing underserved youth with opportunities to enhance both their character and skill sets on and off the court.

Caretakers of the World’s Feet

“Our passion and purpose is to be the caretakers of the world’s feet,” offers company founder/owner Jim Throneburg.” “Our goal is two-fold: we want people who have never worn Thorlos before to experience their comfort benefits as well as support the local organizations that positively impact children’s lives.” There will be an assortment of social media contests on Facebook, Twitter (#SMILEYFEET) along with the opportunity to provide testimonials on your wearing experience via You Tube. Donate by visiting the web site, Experience Thorlos…put a smile on your feet and a smile on a child’s face!

Based in Statesville, NC, family-owned THOR•LO Inc. is the originator of activity-specific padded socks, and the Thȯrlos® brand provides consumers with foot protection and comfort. Scientific, peer-reviewed research stands behind the Thorlos promise: “Your Feet Will Feel Better.”

Our other charitable causes include the Pink Donation Program which supports a number of breast cancer charities through the passion of our loyal customers. Rather than donating directly to a specific charity, we donate a dollar from the sale of every pair of pink Thorlos to the charity designated by the customer. We have raised over $150,000 in the past four years. Additionally, we work with those who wish to donate care packages of our Thorlos military socks to the troops worldwide.
